Small group art classes at Racheal Marie Studio
A calm, creative studio space for young artists, teens and adults to explore drawing, painting, observation and self-expression.
Held in my working artist's studio in Singleton, these sessions are intentionally small so each person receives individual guidance, encouragement and space to create.
Studio Sessions are designed to feel personal, supportive and creative, not rushed or crowded.
Each class is limited to a maximum of six students, allowing for quality teaching, individual feedback and a relaxed studio environment.
Students are encouraged to explore materials, build confidence and develop their own creative voice through guided projects and gentle support.

Places are offered by term enrolment rather than casual attendance so the studio remains consistent, calm and committed.
This allows students to build confidence over time, settle into the space and receive more meaningful guidance throughout the term.
It also keeps group numbers small and intentional.

Unless otherwise noted, all materials are supplied for your Studio Session.
For Studio Circle, you're welcome to bring your own creative project and any specialised materials you'd like to work with.
Simply wear comfortable clothing you don't mind getting a little paint on and come ready to create.

Each Studio Session runs fortnightly across a ten-week term, giving you time between classes to reflect, practise and continue developing your ideas without feeling rushed.
This slower rhythm is intentional.
Creativity often grows in the spaces between making.

Because places are intentionally limited to six participants, each booking reserves a dedicated place within the studio.
Unfortunately missed sessions cannot be refunded or transferred.
Where practical, I'll happily provide any notes or guidance to help you continue your creative journey before the following session.

To make Studio Sessions accessible while allowing classes to remain intentionally small, two payment options are available.
Pay in Full
Reserve your place with a single payment before the term begins.

Studio Payment Plan
Secure your place with a 40% deposit, with the remaining balance payable midway through the ten-week term the week before Session Four.
Places are confirmed once the initial payment has been received.

Keeping classes intentionally small allows me to spend meaningful time with every participant while maintaining the calm, supportive atmosphere that sits at the heart of Racheal Marie Studio.
Rather than teaching from the front of a classroom, I work alongside students within my own working artist's studio—sharing ideas, offering guidance and encouraging each person to develop their own creative voice.
It's this slower, more personal approach that makes Studio Sessions different.
What makes Racheal Marie Studio different?
Racheal Marie Studio isn't built around projects or templates.
It's built around observation.
Each session encourages curiosity, experimentation and learning how to see the world a little differently.
Drawing, painting and technique are all important, but they're simply tools.
The real goal is to build confidence, nurture creativity and create a space where people feel comfortable exploring their own unique way of making.

Each term explores a range of mediums, techniques and creative challenges, encouraging students to experiment, observe and discover how they naturally like to create.
Rather than focusing on a single outcome, students are guided through drawing, painting, mixed media, photography-inspired studies and contemporary creative practices within a supportive working artist's studio.
The goal is not simply to create artwork, but to build creative thinking, technical skills and confidence that can continue long beyond the classroom.

What We'll Explore This Term
Term three has been designed as an introduction to creative exploration and visual storytelling.
Throughout five fortnightly sessions students will be introduced to a range of artistic approaches while learning foundational skills that can be applied across many creative disciplines.
Areas of exploration may include:
• Observation and sketchbook practice
• Drawing techniques and mark-making
• Composition and visual storytelling
• Acrylic painting and colour exploration
• Mixed media experimentation
• Photography-inspired studies and creative observation
• Nature as inspiration for creative work
• Developing personal ideas and artistic confidence
This exploratory format allows students to experience different mediums and approaches before choosing areas they may wish to pursue further through future workshops and advanced studio programs.

No previous experience is required.
This term is designed for both beginners and developing artists looking to expand their creative practice.
